From 1 July to 26 August, Galerie Jarmuschek + Partner is presenting a special exhibition format for the second time: under the motto J+1, each of the gallery’s artists will not only show a current work of their own, but will also introduce a selected guest. Many of the invited artists have been a source of inspiration, an exchange partner and a role model for the hosts.
In Anton von Werner’s former studio – now the gallery space – works by 43 contemporary artists can be discovered over the summer. Robotics, video and photography are represented here as well as sculpture, painting, graphics and installation.
The individual work dialogues reveal influences and influences as well as individual perspectives and developments. Common themes, emerging artistic conceptions or guided discourses provide information about the character of the respective constellation of two as well as about the inviting artists themselves. Throughout the exhibition, surprising references and connections outside this focus become visible.
Opening: Friday, 30. June 2023 – 6pm until 9pm
Exhibition dates: Saturday, 1. July – Saturday, 26. August 2023
