until 25.11. | #4071ARTatBerlin | ARTCO Galerie Berlin shows from 26. October 2023 the exhibition PARADISE IN MIND by the artist Astrid Lowack.
„To have paradise in front of one’s eyes is something beautiful, to look forward to it as well…. it can of course also be seen as something final – depending on how you look at it – just as my pictures always combine something positive and something negative…“, explains artist Astrid Lowack cryptically with regard to the exhibition title.
The exhibition PARADISE IN MIND will be on view at ARTCO Gallery Berlin from 26.10.23. Viewers are invited to fully engage with the large-format works of the photo artist. They provide access to a strange world into which one balances with uncertain footsteps. The further one progresses, the more one loses touch with learned colour contexts, familiar forms and their proportions; one inevitably thinks of supernatural experiences, natural phenomena that no longer seem to fit into this world.
Lowack lives and works near Amsterdam and has been represented in numerous solo and group museum exhibitions. A publication has been published by Hirmer-Verlag.
