Minjung Kim wurde in Gwangju in der Republik Korea geboren und lebt derzeit in Südfrankreich und in den Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika. - 1985
Minjung Kim erhielt den Master an der Hong Ik Universität in Seoul mit einer Arbeit über die vier Basismaterialien im Tusche-Zeichnen (Reispapier, Pinsel, Tusche-Pigment und den Stein zum Pigment-Anreiben). - 1991
Minjung Kim zog nach Italien und studierte an der Brera Akademie in Mailand.
