bis 30.06. | #1921ARTatBerlin | Salongalerie Die Möwe presents from 21st April 2018 an exhibition with sculpture and painting by the artist Dieter Finke.

The sculptor Dieter Finke (1939-2011) lived and worked in Berlin and New York for more than 50 years. He created an oeuvre of fascinating intensity, creativity and experimentation. His artistic work moves between abstraction and figuration in his drawings, architecturally created paintings and sculptures. The exhibition takes up this versatility, highlighting in particular its masterful handling of paper, wood and bronze.

In his works, Dieter Finke dealt with movement, transparency, light and space. His often archaic-looking animal sculptures are particularly well-known, to which he lent dynamism and expressiveness. How close the artist was to the sculpture also as a painter, prove for example his acrylic paintings with wood engravings. The harmony of sculptures and paintings opens the view of the viewer to unique scenes.
