until 27.04. | #1920ARTatBerlin | rk-Galerie at Townhall Lichtenberg shows since 14th March 2018 the exhibition “Inside Töpfern” with the artists Charlotte Dualé, Andreas Matias Gloël, Monika Grabuschnigg, Karl Karner, Alex Müller, Aki Nagasaka, Allison Schulnik and Su-Ran Sichling. Kurator is Dr. Julia Wirxel.

Based on the classical working material clay or ceramic, this exhibition shows how the formerly strictly separated genres are dissolving. From the installation to representational objects, abstract appearing forms to clay mation films, a wide range of ceramics is presented. It seems almost surprising that the eight international artists, working in front of different cultural and thematic backgrounds, work with a material.

Particularly interesting is the theme of temporality, which was and is diametrically opposed to the notions of a genuine permanence of sculpture and sculpture.

Monika Grabuschnigg specially designed the Edition Bathroomseries, 2017/18 for the exhibition.
