bis 27.11. | #3203ARTatBerlin | Jarmuschek + Partner shows from 16th October 2021 (Opening: 15.10.) the exhibition En Route with current works by the artist Sabine Banovic.

The Berlin-based artist’s large-format black and white compositions balance on the fine line between the planned undefined and the associatively representational. Under the title en route, Sabine Banovic now focuses on the processual and object character of her works. By showing videos and digital works in addition to canvases, she is able to ideally expand the spectrum of her artistic approach by adding the aspects of time and three-dimensional space, which are already present in her drawings. Not only does it become clear that each line is one consciously or unconsciously chosen path of many possible paths. The artist also shows us that every detail, every gaze and every mental link are individual and momentary – and always imply a decision.

Sabine Banovic was born in Jena in 1973. She completed her studies in fine arts at the UdK Berlin and at St. Martins College of Art and Design in London in 2007 as a master student of Leika Ikemura. Since then, her works have been presented in numerous exhibitions and are represented in international collections, including that of the German Bundestag, the collection of the Bank of America or the Djurhuus Collection in Kopenhangen.

Vernissage: Friday, 15th October 2021, 6:00 – 9:00 pm. The artist is present.

Exhibition period: Saturday, 16th October – Saturday, 27th November 2021
