until 15.08. | #5091ARTatBerlin | Galerie Thomas Schulte (Charlottenstraße) shows from, 03. July 2026 the exhibition “Just Looking” by the artist Richard Deacon.

“Just Looking”, a solo exhibition of works by Richard Deacon, includes new prints and large-scale ceramic sculptures exhibited for the first time. The diverse series featured here underscore Deacon’s production of variations, his evolving methods of construction, and systematic approach to material.

In glazed ceramic, digital prints on polyester, and lacquered steel, surfaces undergo transformation, taking on a character of their own: with varying degrees of mattness and sheen, alternatingly smooth and rough, open or closed, seemingly flat or decidedly voluminous. While low-lying ceramic sculptures appear to teeter on unsteady footing, others stand tall, firmly planted. Amid their nebulous forms and near associations, Deacon seems to pose a question to us, though it may not be a question at all—a statement left hanging in the air, resolute in its willingness to forgo resolution.

Opening: Friday, 03. July 2026, 7 – 9 pm.

Exhibition dates: Friday, 03. July until Saturday, 15. August 2026
