until 23.10.| #3197ARTatBerlin | Laura Mars Gallery currently shows the group exhibition Jubilee Jubilee on the occasion of its 20th anniversary.

The Laura Mars Gallery turns 20 years young this year and celebrates its existence with a festive group exhibition. On view are works by numerous artists, most of whom have been with the gallery for a long time and vice versa.

The artistic positions presented at Laura Mars bring into play work-immanent logics and aesthetic concepts that stand for a certain independence. Perhaps this is why the group exhibitions Gundula Schmitz has been putting together since 2001, occasionally in cooperation with others, always seem coherent – despite the most diverse works of art that are sometimes assembled for these shows.

The group or solo exhibitions of national and international artists are often accompanied by a supporting program of lectures, film presentations, discussions, concerts, and more. In addition, the affiliated Fantôme Verlag publishes accompanying catalogs and artist books.

The most visible highlight of the glamorous birthday exhibition Jubilee Jubilee will be an installation created by artist Bettina Allamoda especially for the occasion. A sequined fabric stretched across the room acts as a ‘support material,’ a specific ‘wrap’ for the heterogeneous exhibits.

Exhibition dates: Saturday, 18th September to Saturday, 23rd October 2021
