Concurrently, Sprüth Magers announces a solo exhibition by Andro Wekua, presenting new paintings. Wekua’s works have an almost magnetic quality that oscillates between seduction and repulsion, creating a mysteriousness and intrigue that is captivating–if also slightly unsettling–to the viewer in its direct appeal to their emotional psyche.
