Election party for plural democracy – Haus der Kulturen der Welt

Donald Trump’s inauguration shows once again that anti-democratic and anti-liberal forces are on the rise all over the world. On 23 February, the day of the Bundestag elections, there is also a lot at stake in Germany: the result will be a challenge for all those in Germany who are committed to a progressive, inclusive and pluralistic democracy. The Haus der Kulturen der Welt (HKW) invites you to a Public Screaming on 23 February to follow the first projections, results and post-election statements together. These will be commented on live in front of an audience, there will be elephant rounds, live music by Berlin hip-hop band The Swag and plenty of collective emotions.

It is foreseeable that there will be many reasons for anger, bewilderment and sadness on election night.
