until 18.07. | #2783ARTatBerlin | galerie burster shows from 16th July 2020 the three-day performative event PRÄPOSITION, initiated by the artists* Finja Sander and Daniel M.E. Schaal.
The intervention is meant to be understood as an announcement of the exhibition series ODEM. Two live performances assembled around each other and various objects that span the artistic narrative will be shown as a referral to the future collaboration between the two artists.
In his work, Daniel M.E. Schaal deals to a large extent with the properties and various attributions of packaging materials in terms of content. For example, he uses cardboard that has accumulated over time in his private environment as a pressure stick for his experimental gravure prints. On this basis, the idea for a collaboration with the performance artist Finja Sander was born. An oversized folding cardboard box acts as a connecting object-subject-entity between the two artistic positions of Daniel M.E. Schaal and Finja Sander. The jointly conceived work PRÄPOSITION is at the same time a beginning and an independent, lively part, which combines the two strands of different working methods for the first time.
In addition to PRÄPOSITION, Isabella Bram shows excerpts from her installative spatial structures. The formations consist of collections of everyday objects, symbols and striking, coloured settlements. Things that seem so familiar to all of us leave the place and context assigned to them, thus depicting their very own reality to explore.
Finja Sander studies fine arts in the 10th semester in the class of Prof. Valérie Favre. Daniel M.E. Schaal studies fine arts in the 11th semester in the class of Prof. Valérie Favre. Isabella Bram studies fine arts in the 8th semester in the class of Prof. Valérie Favre.
Parallel to the intervention at galerie burster, KUNST RAUM STADT, a demonstration initiated by the Universität der Künste Berlin takes place.
