until 15.06. | #1257ARTatBerlin | Contemporary Fine Arts presents from 14th April 2017 the exhibition “FunQRoc – THINK – LOVE YOU” by the artist Sarah Lucas.

In the tradition of Sarah Lucas’ memorable one-year project “Situation” with Sadie Coles in 2012/2013 that culminated in a show at the Whitechapel Gallery in 2013, an organic programme of events, collective art-making and meals directed by the artist will take place at Contemporary Fine Arts on the occasion of the Easter Weekend.

A work-in-progress-situation that invites artists and friends to take part both as models or “acteurs” in a 4-days project dedicated to the last supper, passion, and resurrection. The displays will include works both in-the making and older pieces incorporating her signature use of everyday materials such as concrete, underwear, and found domestic objects.

“FunQRoc” will be the artist’s sixth exhibition with Contemporary Fine Arts, her first show with us – “Is Suicide Genetic?”  – dates back to 1996 and was the inaugural exhibition of our then-new gallery space at the Sophie-Gips-Höfe in Berlin-Mitte.

Vernissage: Thursday, 13th April 2017, 6 p.m.

Exhibition period: Friday, 14th April to Thursday, 15th June 2017
