until 12.08. | #1478ARTatBerlin | a.i.p.galerie – artists in progress shows from 22nd July 2017 the exhibition “Gamut – zwischen gamma und ut” by the artist Marius D. Kettler.
Gamut is a painting – sound installation without taking refrence to the realistic aspect of painting. The main focus is on the interplay of intense colour and painted forms deriving into a (Farbklang) colour sound, creating suspenseful tension within it`s own pictorial refrences. The realization of sound in the installation is not subservient to a rhythem or a quote. The tone and it`s sound, the ringing of sound..
Sounds overlayered, tones that are juxtaposed are adjoined as they dissonat, act in concert and resonate.
Gamut offers an existence in sound and colour, in a space of sound – colour sound
and timbre; an interplay between expansion and comparison. Painting and sound are open to another in a room of mutual interplay, where perception is like an enclave in physical space.
The audio and visual are not two opposites that are united, here with Gamut they are adjoined, involving the harmless combination of the self- evident senses that match.
