until 06.07. | #3466ARTatBerlin | Galerie Pugliese Levi presents since 5. May 2022 the second solo show Safe Place by the Hungarian artist Tünde Újszászi.

Safe Place presents recent paintings along with a series of ink drawings on paper. Repetition, as a soothing and meditative act, is the main focus of Újszászi’s work and the theme of this exhibition. Departing from the special weaving techniques and small foldings of previous installations, gestural repetitions take place here on canvas. Taming the passing of time and overcoming her fears remain Tünde Újszászi’s preoccupations, along with her original research on the medium and all its possible uses.

“Repetition is safe. The reason why I always aspire to achieve it is because I’m afraid to immerse myself in the void.“
Tünde Újszászi
