until 18.04. | #1913ARTatBerlin | Galerie mutare shows from 1st of April 2018 an exhibition with paintings by the artist Bettina Moras and photo collages by the artist Thietmar Bachmann.

BETTINA MORAS was born in 1975 in Freiberg (Saxony). From 1994 to 1999 she studied Romance studies, German studies and history at the TU Dresden and from 2000 to 2006 painting at the “Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma” in Rome with Professor Andrea Volo.

In 2005 she completed a study visit at the “University of Fine Arts” in Dresden under Professor Ralf Kerbach. Since 2007 she lives and works as a freelance artist in Berlin.

Her work has been shown in numerous solo exhibitions, e.g. in Berlin, Dresden, Potsdam, but also internationally, e.g. shown in Italy (Rome). She was also in prominent group exhibitions, e.g. together with Johannes Grützke, Pavel Feinstein, Hans Scheib, Bernhard and Johannes Heisig, Harald Metzkes, Wilhelm Lachnit and Michael Sowa.

Her works are in public possession as well as in private collections.

THIETMAR BACHMANN graduated early from a strict eye school in the photo club, participated in national photo shows and Kunstverein exhibitions. The graduated lawyer today works in particular in the field of photography, photo collages and painting. On the screen, he manages to create an original symbiosis of photography and painting. The works of this “Medusa Project” were created after a choreography based on a poetry by the Catalan allround artist Pere Jaume, which was performed in the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion in Barcelona 2014. It includes 10 works, 5 collages and 5 original photographs based on them.

Before moving to Berlin in 2015, Thietmar Bachmann worked in Barcelona and New York, where his work has been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions.
