until 21.12. | #3723ARTatBerlin | Haverkampf Leistenschneider presents the exhibition “One step away from the truth” by the artist Okka-Esther Hungerbühler from 1 December 2022.
Looking back to the year 2022, the exhibition ONE STEP AWAY FROM THE TRUTH presents a selection of works by Okka-Esther Hungerbühler that were on view this year in her solo exhibitions at Kunstverein Dresden and artothek Cologne, as well as newly created works by the Berlin-based artist.
The exhibition is accompanied by a catalog with a text by Maximilian Klawitter.

Okka-Esther Hungerbühler (b. 1988, Bonn)
studied from 2010 to 2016 at the University of the Arts in Berlin with Thomas Zipp and one semester at the Cooper Union in New York City.
Her works have been shown in exhibitions at Kunstverein Dresden, The Bellermann Hyptonotist Sangt Hipolyt Berlin, Schwartzsche Villa, Berlin, Kunstverein Schwerin, KW Berlin, Kunstsaelen Berlin, MuMoK Vienna and Oz Zingaro Gallery, Tokyo.
In 2014, she received the Berlin Art Prize. In 2016, she was a resident artist at Villa Concordia in Bamberg.
Her first catalog “Die faule Nuss” was published by Distanz Verlag in 2019 on the occasion of the solo exhibition of the same name at Schwartzsche Villa, Berlin. In 2021 she received the research grant of the city of Berlin.
