until 19.06 | #3437ARTatBerlin | EBENSPERGER BERLIN presents from 29. April 2022 the exhibition “Ökonomische Päpste und Päpstinnen” (<Economic Popes and Women Popes) by the artist Lea Draeger.

For Gallery Weekend Berlin 2022, Lea Draeger will present her series “Economic Popes and Popes” for the first time in its provisional entirety. The installation will spread across walls and floors in the West Hall of the former crematorium Wedding, at Ebensperger and Luxoom Lab.

Lea Draeger’s debut novel “If I Could Betray You” was already published by hanserblau in January. This text is the literal equivalent of her papal and, above all, female papal legion, which was initially conceived as a series of “1000 Economic Popes” and now consists of over 5,000 postage-stamp-sized portraits of popes and female popes.

Special opening for the Gallery Weekend Berlin: Friday, 29. April – 6:00 to 9:00 pm; Saturday, 30, April to Sunday, 1. May 2022 – noon to 7:00 pm
