until 19.09. | #3116ARTatBerlin | Galerie mutare shows from 20th August 2021 a solo show with paintings by the artist Kuisoon Park as part of the gallery project “Die neue Brücke – durch Chaos und Ordnung zur Freiheit” (> The new bridge – with chaos and order to freedom). Outside of this project, works by Jan Luis Gottwald will be shown simultaneously in the 2nd gallery room.

Kuisoon Park, born in South Korea in 1983, attended the Kaywon School of Art & Design in South Korea from 2003 to 2005 and studied Fine Art there. From 2007 to 2012 she obtained her diploma in painting in Germany after studying with Hanns Schimansky at the Berlin-Weißensee School of Art. In 2012 – 2013 she was a master student of Hanns Schimansky.

Kuisoon Park lives and works freelance in Berlin and has been represented by Galerie Mutare since 2017. A brochure will be published to accompany the exhibition. The exhibition is part of the gallery project “The New Bridge – Through Chaos and Order to Freedom”.

As a guest outside the project, Galerie Mutare presents the artist Jan Luis Gottwald with sculpture and animation in the 2nd gallery room.

Jan Luis Gottwald, born in Poland, lives and works in Berlin. He first studied Film & Animation and is currently studying Fine Arts at the Berlin University of the Arts with a focus on sculpture. His primary form of expression is hybrid animation, in which he combines different media, starting with sculpture, drawing and puppet animation, to 3D animation and digital composition.

He builds miniature landscapes with organic architecture and creates imaginary inhabitants of these places. For the form of his constructs he uses ceramics, metal, wax and materials found in nature.

Preview: Thursday, 19 August 2021, personal one-to-one PREVIEW by appointment (0151.27074925 or berlin@galeriemutare.de).

Vernissage: Friday, 20 August 2021, 19:00 – 21:00. Artist and artist will be present.
Due to the current situation, any guest will be able to view the exhibition and talk to the artists, but unfortunately only a limited number of people will still be allowed in the gallery at any one time. Please keep your distance and wear a mask. Thank you.
