until 03.11. | #2201ARTatBerlin | ZWINGER Galerie currently shows the solo exhibition E-Werk by the artist Kerstin Drechsel.
Painting, sculpture, design, installation and BJD-Trash come together in Kerstin Drechsel‘s latest artistic production. The result is mobile batteries or transformers of a different kind, charged with queerness and feminist verve.

Mice swinging Neanderthal women, megaphones like breasts (or vice versa), remnants of an organ-shaped mother’s temple, but also pretty blue-and-white patterns that are reminiscent of old English porcelain painting can be discovered. Some fits in with the ornament and covers the inside and outside surfaces of the boxes and boxes in the same wallpaper. Lid and doors can be opened and open the view to tableaux, to exemplary interiors that could serve as strange dollhouses. Everything is hybrid. A picture is a furniture is a room. And in this could live Aunt Lix whose story can only be learned through the oral narration of the artist.
Vernissage: Friday, 7th September 2018, 7 – 9 pm
Exhibition period: Saturday, 8th September – Saturday, 3rd November 2018
