until 08.10. | #3558ARTatBerlin | Galerie Z22 presents from 29. September 2022 (Opening: 28.09) the exhibition „Cloudy Mirror“ by the artist Kati von Schwerin.
The exhibition “Cloudy Mirror” by Kati von Schwerin at Galerie Z22 / Wilmersdorf aims to hold up a mirror to the visitors – as already noted in the title – and, with the help of the works presented, to encourage them to reconsider their individual actions and being and their pre-sketched concept of life. In reference to Albert Camus’ The Fall, von Schwerin wants to challenge the viewers to examine whether their own dreams and ideals still have a place in the current concept of life and whether bliss is still the appointed goal.
Kati von Schwerin (born 1983) is a visual artist, musician/songwriter, author and podcaster. She studied painting at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf with Prof. Markus Lüpertz, as well as philosophy (B.A. and M.A.) at the HHU Düsseldorf and the HU Berlin. Since the beginning of 2020, she has also been working as a freelance writer for Titanic and runs the podcast “Derby WG” together with the musician Gregor McEwan. Kati von Schwerin’s work focuses on anthropology, social and political issues such as equality and the appreciation of art and culture, as well as the influence of the big city on work and mind.
Kati von Schwerin’s musical compositions are published by Freibank Verlag / Hamburg, tours and reading tours are booked by Amadis Booking / Potsdam.
Opening: Wednesday, 28. September 2022, 7:00 until 10:00 pm
