until 22.10. | #2212ARTatBerlin | Andreas Reinsch Project shows from 22nd September 2018 the exhibition abendland (occident) by the artist Günther Haußmann.
Anyone who says Occident also has Orient in mind, and Christianity and Islam. It is a thinking in opposites.
In the case of Judaism, the catastrophe had to happen first in order to be able to say: Judaism belongs to Germany.
The question of whether Islam belongs to Germany will not be answered first by a catastrophe, but by reason.
But we are impatient and calculate everything on the monetary value and do not realize that we think in much too small a coin.
The incidents after autumn 2015, when about 50 mostly Muslim refugees arrived in his hometown on the Baltic Sea, have released something that has not been called on for a long time in our rich world: compassion, helpfulness and the good feeling of doing the right thing. Something he hoped was the popular mind and soul.
It turned out differently.
