Elvira Bach is one of the defining voices of contemporary German art. She made her name as one of the few female artists of the ‘Neue Wilde’ movement. As a participant in documenta 7 in 1982, she developed an unmistakable visual language characterised by vibrant colours, an expressive formal language and a compelling exploration of female identity.
