until 26.11. | #3647ARTatBerlin | Jarmuschek + Partner presents from 8. October 2022 (Opening: 07.10.) the exhibition Nachsommer with latest works by the artist Carina Linge.
For the development of her current photographic series, the Leipzig-based artist was a guest in a special house: In the medieval environment of the now Protestant monastery Lüne, she portrayed three conventual women. Personal realities and inner states of the protagonists play a role in the newly created, atmospherically charged images, as does the place, which is charged with traditions and stories.

Carina Linge was born in 1976 in Cuxhaven and lives in Leipzig. After studying art and German language and literature in Greifswald, she studied fine arts at the Bauhaus University Weimar with Prof. Elfi Fröhlich and Prof. Norbert W. Hinterberger. In 2007 and 2014 she received teaching assignments there herself. At the center of her photographic work is an expanded concept of portraiture. In the form of multi-part image tableaus and single images, Carina Linge develops psychogram-like portraits. Her scenographically arranged body images and associatively as well as symbolically charged still lifes not only point to a concrete person and his or her subjective state of mind, but also provide insights into the needs, desires and fears of the people of our time. Works by Carina Linge have already received much international attention and are represented, among others, in the collections of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow (MOCAK), Poland, the Free State of Thuringia and in that of the German Bundestag, where she was most recently presented in the exhibition 100 Years of Women’s Suffrage – 19+1 Female Artists.
Opening: Friday, 7. October 2022, at 8:00 pm. The artist will be present.
Exhibition dates: Saturday, 8. October – Saturday, 26. November 2022
