Kunstleben Berlin brings people together worldwide and makes art, artists and galleries visible. It started in 2009 with artists from New York and Berlin exhibiting art together in their cities in collaboration with galleries. This project organizes exhibitions in both countries on an annual basis. Berlin meets New York has taken place ten times to date. Art knows no borders. After Berlin meets New York, Berlin meets Taipei 2020 was launched despite the pandemic. For the first time a group exhibition of German artists was shown in Taiwan. With the support of the German Federal Foreign Office, Kunstleben Berlin gave Berlin artists the opportunity to make their art visible in Taiwan.

Berlin meets Seoul is a project of Kunstleben Berlin in collaboration with CHOI&CHOI (formerly CHOI&LAGER) Gallery, a contemporary art gallery based in Cologne (since 2012) and Seoul. Since the gallery’s inception, directors Jinhee and Sunhee Choi have built an extensive network of artists and institutions, ranging from Korea to London, Paris, Berlin, and Geneva, to facilitate greater cultural exchange between metropolises.

The establishment of Bermel von Luxburg Gallery in 2018 is the merger between two talented visionaries – Mario Bermel, a passionate art collector as well as international art dealer, active all over the world, with a focus on the art centers of Berlin and Paris – and the von Luxburg family, who by tradition broker international art. The gallery specializes in international modern and contemporary art.
