Born near Paris, Alain Ponçon lives and works in Saint Maur sur Loir near Chartes. He is internationally known through exhibitions in North America and Europe. His works of art have a strong artistic expression.

His artistic roots come from realism and expressionism. He has an artistic power in the sense of Art Brut. However, his works of art are anything but “art singular.” They show a profound social criticism and the cheerfulness of everyday life.
