until 10.12. | #3272ARTatBerlin | BARK Lab presents on 10th December 2021 a performance by the Berlin Strippers Collective. The performance will take place on the occasion of the opening of the new art space.
To kick off the program of the BARK Lab with a big bang the curators were able to win the Berlin Strippers Collective. The self-organised, autonomous, feminist collective advocates for the de-criminalization of sex work globally. The artists’ performances are at the intersection of art, performance, entertainment, work and activism.
The Berlin Strippers Collective condemns gender and racial discrimination in the sex industry and challenges oppressive structures. To fight against stigma and misinformation they gather as a creative and political group, challenging their audience to see the body, nudity, sexuality, and movement without shame but as art in itself.
BARK Lab is a place for exploration and interdisciplinary experiments. In making use of the space right next door to BARK BERLIN GALLERY, the curators and invited artists, whether emerging or established, are encouraged to break new ground.
BARK Lab is run by the four Berlin based curators
Tristan Deschamps
Nicola E. Petek
Polina Piagin
Daniel Seyde
Vernissage: Friday, 10. December 2021, 7:30 & 8:00 pm (right next door to Bark Berlin Gallery)
