until 06.09. | #5126ARTatBerlin | Galerie Creative Game shows from Friday, 28. August 2026 the exhibition “Forbidden Colours” by the artist Visuman.
The artist VISUMAN offers us an insight into his work under the theme: ‘A short journey through the “Visuversum”’. On display are works from his diverse range of picture series. Among other things, the focus is on his exploration of geometry, in keeping with his motto: ‘Geometry is the archetype of the world’s beauty.’

In the latest works from 2025 and 2026 in the ‘Fictional Faces’ series, faces beam out at us. Their gazes draw us in as if by magic, instilling in us a sense of well-being and happiness. This culminates in the five-part work ‘Most Likely Happiness’.

Visuman, the visual being: a screen for a head, a power button for a torso and cables for legs. An abstraction. This figure likes to move against backdrops of graphs of mathematical functions.
Visuman is derived from an Egyptian hieroglyph and serves as a stand-in for the human figure. The Visuman figure, originally conceived as a critique of people who watch too much television, now appears as a symbol of postmodernism. It is the artist’s trademark.

This solo exhibition presents works from several creative periods, beautifully organised into series. And yet everything is interconnected. Certain elements recur time and again in Visuman’s works, such as the Visuman figure itself or graphs of mathematical functions like the Peano curve, the Fatou-Staub curve, the Poincaré chain or the Apollonian tiling.
It is thanks to the computer scientist Kai Krause and his tools in Photoshop and the Frax app that some of these images are even possible. Worth mentioning here are the works from the series ‘Fraxnix or Smart Frax’, such as Fraxnix 01 LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT.
The artist therefore likes to focus on mathematics and geometry, inspired by painters such as H.R. Giger, M.C. Escher, Victor Vasarely and Piet Mondrian.

However, there are also pictures on display that do not feature graphs of mathematical functions, such as the works in the ‘Offenherzig’ series, which explore the theme of queerness and are reminiscent of Jean-Michel Basquiat.
