until 31.10. | #3104ARTatBerlin | GalleryNo 10 presents from 14th August 2021 the group exhibition and at the same time opening exhibition UNAPOLOGETIC.
With the exhibition UNAPOLOGETIC, GalleryNo 10 opens its rooms in Berlin-Wilmersdorf. The people behind GalleryNo 10 are Susanne L. Born and Manuela Liane Groll, in cooperation with curator Dr. Suzy Royal.
The opening exhibition focuses on the following artists:
Feryel Atek is a figurative painter and art therapist from Paris who has lived in Berlin for 7 years. Her main medium is large-scale, immersive paintings and a collection of intimate, detailed drawings. Her work focuses on the symbolic and archetypal aspects of the human figure, female representation and autobiographical inner myths. She plays between dynamic, raw gestures and graphic lines.
Mara Dominioni is an Italian-Swiss sculptor who lives in Chateaugiron, near Rennes, France. Her sculptures are a tribute to the beauty of the human condition, classical in character, representational in form, and they breathe an irresistible combination of sensuality and power, strength and vulnerability, softness and intimacy.
Shura Kraëff was a photographer, painter and wanderer between different worlds. Rooted in the tropics of Indonesia with Dutch-Russian ancestry, her extensive body of work is to be discovered. In the exhibition, we encounter her large-format paintings, which are at home in a relief-like, monochrome world; a world from ancient Greek, Hellenistic times. Only four colours are used here: White, indigo mixed with Van Dyck brown and off-white. The artist passed away in Hanover in 2019.
Vernissage: Saturday, 14 August 2021, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
