Gallery Visit of the exhibition by ART@Berlin in the form of a 360° 3D Panorama Tour:

The focus of the exhibition are the expressive oil paintings of the painter Tamim Sibai born in Damascus in 1991 and living in Berlin.
For him, art is a means of facing one’s own thoughts and feelings. He is interested in what people hide inside themselves and how the artist can see it, transforms it in thick layers of paint with rough brushstrokes; he is interested in the interpersonal and in the conflict between inner life and outer behaviour.

Painting faces is the basis of his artistic creation: “Sometimes I take the face as a theme, sometimes I show the subject by the face. ”
His pictures are at the same time lively and serious. Despite the wild and expressionistic tone, the figures instill a sense of calm and tranquillity. An artful balancing act …

Caro Stark was a master student of Georg Baselitz at the beginning of the 80’s at Hochschule der Künste Berlin. The exhibition shows one of her magnificent so-called Flying Carpets under the title “Kriemhild”. She combines different materials and techniques with each other. By this, the artist works in many layers, wet-on-wet. She sticks painted surfaces on top of each other, tears them out again, intuitively, following her inner concept. This large-format work takes up the thematic figure covered with gold foil virtually in a noble way.

As well Caro Stark is represented with her sculpture “Selbstporträt”.

In contrast to these colourful works are the drawings by Felix Gephart, a true virtuoso in his field. Amongst others, three works from his series Baron von Münchhausen will be shown, which are very detailed and finely worked out and have humorous-surreal elements.
