until 04.10. | #5121ARTatBerlin | Galerie mutare shows from Friday, 28. August 2026 the exhibition “Mother, I shall weave a chain of pearls for thy neck with my tears of sorrow” by the artist Ruthi Helbitz Cohen.
Ruthi Helbitz Cohen, born in Israel in 1969, studied art and psychology at the University of Haifa from 1989 to 1991. She undertook her artistic training from 1992 to 1998 at the Hamidrasha Art School of Beit Berl College in Kfar Saba and at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem. From 2008 to 2010, she studied at Oranim College in Tiw’on, graduating with a Master of Arts. Since 1994, her works have been featured in solo and group exhibitions, primarily in Israel and Europe, and this year also in New York. In 2012, she held a solo exhibition at the Beelden aan Zee Sculpture Museum in The Hague. Her solo exhibition ‘Beloved’ at the Open Museum in the Tefen Industrial Park in 2019 attracted considerable attention.
The Mutare Gallery has represented Helbitz Cohen since 2019.
