until 15.02. | #2666ARTatBerlin | Galerie Eigenheim presents from 10th January 2020 the exhibition PRISMA with the artists of the gallery Konstantin Bayer, Anna Bittersohl, Benedikt Braun, Frederik Foert, Enrico Freitag, Rao Fu, Marc Jung, Caucasso Lee Jun, Martin Mohr, Adam Noack, Stefan Schiek, Michal Schmidt, Julia Scorna, Moritz Wehrmann, Lars Wild and Wang Yuhong.
The gallery becomes a cabinet of the arts, the space is prismatically broken up, pictures hang freely in space – structuring and redefining the depth of it. Meanwhile, the artistic works overlap, interlock and move closer together, so that, depending on the observers point of view, there are different dialogues between the works of art. The picture becomes an object, the back of a painting becomes visible, the installation or sculpture has to compete with the linear relationships of different perspectives.
A prism breaks and reflects and is furthermore a fitting synonym for the turn of the year and new beginnings as well as for artistic production in general. With this presentation we would like to compare on the one hand the individual formal approaches and content-related discussions of the artists with the gallery and on the other hand to show the intensive and close cooperation between artist and gallery.
We hereby invite you to get to know the gallery‘s entire portfolio in an exhibition and to get a foretaste of the annual program of EIGENHEIM Weimar/Berlin.
