until 11.08. | #2104ARTatBerlin | Galerie Z22 shows from 28th July 2018 the guest exhibition “MYSTERIER” with sculptures by the artist Anja Brendle and paintings by the artist Oliver Ferch.

The works of the exhibition ask about the relationship between form, content and meaning.

The sculptures by Anja Brendle meet this question in their lived contradiction of “form” and “non-form”.

In the paintings of Oliver Ferch one looks at a picture in the picture.

The works of the artists are not easy to locate. After all, they move in a field of tension between memory and the future-between objectivity and emotion.

At the same time, they have a great density of form and content and regard their subjects with quiet humor.

Speaking of subjects: as well as tearing out the “real” contents of the images from their original historical or medial context, such as the associative statement of the play of form of the sculptures and their indeterminate materiality, ultimately result in a mysterious overall effect of the exhibition, which raises questions.

Vernissage: Saturday, 28th July 2018, 7:00 p.m.

Exhibition period: Saturday, 28th July to Saturday, 11. August 2018
