until 20.04. | #4187ARTatBerlin | Galerie EIGEN + ART Berlin shows from 7. March 2024 the exhibition “Below Ground Level ” by the artist Lada Nakonechna.
The Ukrainian artist Lada Nakonechna has been living in Germany since the beginning of the war. Here she has also been preparing for her seventh solo exhibition with Galerie EIGEN + ART and we are delighted to present her work at the Berlin gallery.
In the exhibition entitled Below Ground Level, Lada Nakonechna questions suitable artistic forms for depicting the present from her position in the midst of the Russian-Ukrainian war. She focuses on photographic material from the internet and social media–images of the destruction of buildings and deserted areas of land. Through her physical processing, cutting out and overdrawing, she explores the aspect of how we perceive images, what they are triggering in us and when we begin to question them.
Opening: Thursday, 7. March 2024, 5 to 8 pm
Exhibition period: Thursday, 7. March until Saturday, 20. April 2024
