until 16.01. | #2896ARTatBerlin | The Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf galleries Meyer Riegger, Klaus Gerrit Friese and Kicken Berlin will show from 31 October 2020 in cooperation the exhibitions “Helmut Newton 100” in different approaches.
On the occasion of Helmut Newton’s centenary birthday on October 31, 2020, Kicken Berlin takes this opportunity to show and reposition Newton’s work in a dialogue with contemporary artists, together with the Berlin galleries Klaus Gerrit Friese and Meyer Riegger.
At Galerie Friese on Fasanenplatz, Newton’s works build a new connection with the erotically charged Pop Art of the American William N. Copley (1919-1996).
Meyer Riegger has invited the British artist Jonathan Monk (*1969) to react directly to Newton’s photographs with specially created works.
Exhibition period: Saturday, 31st October 2020 to Saturday, 16th January 2021
