until 25.07. | #2731ARTatBerlin | Stella A. shows from 13th May 2020 an exhibition with works on paper by the artist Hans Bötel.

The current exhibition presents works on paper by Hans Bötel, originating from a bundle of 10, measuring 31 x 41 cm dating from 1991. Even though all are carried out in the same landscape format they are not series in the sense of repeated variations of a theme as seen in the exhibitions of watercolours in our gallery in 2003 and 2006. In the current show we are presenting ink and chalk drawings reformulating compositional and working methods. In some sheets fragments of forms are reminiscent of floral objects or architectural drawings. In others there are freer line plays or arabesques which follow the flow of handwriting. The papers used are of different weight, making it possible to apply colour and lines with different techniques. In his „new“ old drawings the exploring and experimental part of Hans Bötel’s work can be perceived.

Exhibition period: Wednesday, 13th May – Saturday, 25th July 2020

Please note:Visits during opening hours Wed – Sa 14:00 – 19:00 and by appointment Tel.: 0176 – 52 44 44 67
