until 30.07. | #3028ARTatBerlin | Galerie Gilla Lörcher shows from 30th April 2021 on the occasion of the Gallery Weekend the solo exhibition If you lived here, you’d be disappointed with objects by Chilean artist Francisco Rozas.
Galerie Gilla Loercher is very pleased to present the forth solo exhibition by Chilean artist Francisco Rozas. The artist constructs big, fragile, geometric objects, that oscillate between flatness and three-dimensionality. His objects embody exemplary visualisations of mathematical dependencies. Only on second sight the observer may realize, that Rozas’ objects are made of light materials, such as card paper or paper.

Francisco Rozas, born 1980 in Temuco, Chile. Lives and works in Berlin. The artist studied at the ARCIS University Santiago de Chile, at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf with Prof. Rita McBride and at the Universität der Künste UdK Berlin with Prof. Gregor Schneider and Art in Context (Masters Degree). He received the DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austausch-Dienst) stipend and the CONICYT (National Commission for Scientific and Technological Research) award.

If it is possible due to the pandemic situation, the gallery will be open during the Berlin Gallery Weekend from 30 April to 2 May from noon to 7pm.
If it is not possible to open for visitors on the weekend, Francisco Rozas’ show can be viewed 24/7 from the outside or viewed virtually as a 3D tour.
Vernissage: Thursday, 29 April 2021, 3.00 – 8.00 pm, please book a time slot.
Exhibition dates: Friday, 30 April – Friday, 25 June 2021, Thu – Sat 3pm – 6pm. (if allowed) – ATTENTION: extended until 30th July 2021!
