bis 20.04. | #4185ARTatBerlin | Galerie Barbara Thumm shows from 2. March 2024 (Opening: 01.03.) the exhibition by the artists Mukenge/Schellhammer.

The exhibition presents works by the German-Congolese artist duo Mukenge/Schellhammer. Their practice goes beyond the boundaries of traditional painting and encourages a dialog about the diverse possibilities of the medium. The vernissage will be accompanied by a performance by the artists, which will provide an in-depth insight into their artistic practice.
A discussion with the artists and selected guests will take place on March 7. Invited guests include the writer Dzekashu MacViban, curator at HKW and publisher of Bakwa Books, with whom Mukenge/Schellhammer are developing a joint project in Kinshasa this year, and the media theorist, author and dramaturge Marian Kaiser, with whom the duo have been working for several years.

Opening: Friday, 1. March, 2024, 6 – 21 pm

Exhibition dates: Saturday, 2. March  – Saturday, 20. April 2024
