until 17.12. | #3646ARTatBerlin | Galerie Sievi presents from 7. October 2022 the duo exhibition DAZWISCHEN with sculptures by artist Dirk Richter and paintings by artist Sabine Puschmann.
Dirk Richter gets his inspiration from drawing in front of nature. He is particularly interested in dynamic motifs and shapes, which he develops into independent free compositions in wood and other materials. Pieces of trunks or branches are used to create sculptures whose volume is dissolved by sawn perforations. The “cut” serves as a graphic means with three-dimensional extension.
The line in space.
Sabine Puschmann‘s works would probably have to be classified as abstract if she did not repeatedly allow representational elements to flow into her pictures. They conjure up reminiscences of landscapes from a bird’s eye view that consistently avoids any spatial illusion. Poetic images of cheerfulness and playfulness, tenderness and sensitivity, but also of pensiveness and melancholy. Seen from a distance, the surfaces, forms and lines appear as a whole. If one approaches the picture more closely, subtle, fine structures can be discerned. Concealed things appear, suggestive, shadowy. The primary interpretation is broken and a new dimension is opened.
Messages on tiptoe.
Opening: Friday, 7. October 2022, from 7 pm
