44flavours:
The combination of art and life and the artistic creative process play a central role in the collaboration between Sebastian Bagge and Julio Rölle. Since 2003 they work under the name 44flavours. In her own artistic world of painting, photography, mostly expansive installations, illustration and typography, Bagge and Rölle work spontaneously and intuitively, reacting to each other’s decisions. The art of 44flavours is processual, and the search for the materials and their locations is part of the artwork.

GODOY GIRL:
In her work, the Spanish artist Lupe Godoy is dedicated to painting, collage and their interdependence. The image materials are integrated in the processing into content-rich, nested narratives and series. Her works have been presented in numerous solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad and are part of private and public art collections.
She lives and works in Berlin.

MARIA CORPORAL:
The artistic production of Maria Korporal includes video art, digital image processing, interactive projects and installations. Their multimedia work has been designed using a wide variety of techniques and each work is an animated mix of photographs and film footage as well as drawings and collages. The narrative aspect, both personal and social, plays a major role in her work and, together with the directness of the images and the sounds, leads to a great participation of the viewer.

SUSAN MCKINLEY
In Susan McKinley’s works, it is the inner faces, emotions, and dreams that transcend the hand-applied image. Human and animal figures are more conceptual than formal. They act as a kind of catalyst that gives the formless psychic powers visual resistance and structure. The brush gesture, ie painting itself as a temporal continuum in the two-dimensional juxtaposition on paper, between form-giving and becoming-to-be-formed, is the image dominant moment.

VOLKER NIKEL:
Statement on Nikel sculptures
The works are made of steel welded and are small installations and objects, but more to the ZEN mind, so the here and now, the letting go and a constant correction of the ‘attitude’ has to do. The unfinished perfection is intentional and examines the constant dynamics of making and viewing.
