“In this exhibition we show the diversity of our artists by presenting a wide range of editions and limited series. Editions have a long tradition in art as copper engravings, etchings or bronze castings and are highly topical in contemporary art in the form of photography, 3D printing and multiples. Editions make art accessible to a large audience and combine craftsmanship and artistic intention.

In the development of the editions, the gallery has worked closely with the artists to fulfil precisely this demand. Based on drawings Adam Noack made during demonstrations in Colditz near Leipzig, he developed a portfolio of 15 hand-coloured silkscreen prints that are presented together in a linen-bound box in the exhibition. Timo Herbst produced 5 motifs from the series “Make yourself an organ” as photogravure prints and Martin Mohr created an abstract woodcut. The two bronzes by Stefan Schiek show people looking up into the sky, wearing VR glasses, Frederik Foert gets to the bottom of an exotic passion for collecting, Gökçen Dilek Acay brings out a long-playing record with her own music pieces, sound collages and a radio play as an artist’s edition, Anna Bittersohl presents an elaborately and individually designed book, Julia Scorna shows 10 Mediterranean motifs on a truck tarpaulin as a washable placemat, Nina Röder shows an excerpt from her series “Champagne in the Cellar” as Polaroids, Benedikt Braun and Konstantin Bayer display objects, installations and multiples – these and many other editions make the exhibition a multifaceted experience and perhaps one or the other Christmas gift can be found in the exhibition. We are looking forward to your interest.”
