until 25.06 | #3403ARTatBerlin | Galerie Michael Haas presents from 29. April 2022 the exhibition Zukunft und Anmut, No.1 (>Future and grace, No.1) by the artist Anton Henning. The exhibition opens for the Gallery Weekend Berlin.
Anton Henning is the master of contradiction whose special interest is modernism. In the exhibition “Zukunft und Anmut, No. 1″, he uses paintings, sculptures and furniture to combine the design for more beautiful living with the futility of idea and future in a composition specially tailored to the rooms of the Michael Haas Gallery. It is a multi-layered, intelligent-sensual demonstration of the autopoietic system that the artist has been developing since the early nineties and that is constantly condensing. The exhibition is the permanent expansion and concentration of a web of isms referring to itself and modernity and its missed possibilities (through dogma).
For all their thoughtfulness, the expansive staging of the exhibited works exudes a refreshing lightness: Anton Henning’s work is both a challenge and an inspiration. Not least the numerous international public and private collections in which he is represented speak for this.
Parallel to the exhibition at the Michael Haas Gallery, the Sexauer Gallery is showing ” Zukunft und Anmut, No. 2″, an interior that can be viewed around the clock, in its showroom on Grolmannstraße.
In addition, “Der Antonyme Salon”, which opens its doors on Saturday April 30th at Giesebrechtstraße 5 with a welcome by Jana Noritsch and a short introduction by Prof. Wolfgang Ullrich, will feature the exhibition “Der Antonyme Salon, No. 1 – Anton Henning: Unverkäuflich anmutige Antiphrasen”.
