until 13.03. | #0425ARTatBerlin | KW Institute for Contemporary Art currently shows the exhibition “Even cowboys get the blues” by the artist Alex Turgeon in the series MAGNA CARTA SHELF LIFE #1.
In a series of three episodes, MAGNA CARTA SHELF LIFE (14.02.–01.05.2016) investigates the exhibition format as a layered mise-en-scène. It sees the format as a stage of inherited contexts, shared at once by the artistic, curatorial, and architectural, each of which acts as a distinctly motivated protagonist in the in-between landing 3 ½. The first episode EVEN COWBOYS GET THE BLUES by the Canadian artist Alex Turgeon aims at challenging the desire to maintain an individual mythology and singularity within contemporary social networks.
Curated by Kate Brown.
