Malwine Stauss | Materie unter Materie | Jarmuschek + Partner | 29.08.-02.10.2026

until 02.10. | #5137ARTatBerlin | Jarmuschek + Partner shows from Saturday, 29. August 2026 (Opening: 28.08.) the exhibition Materie unter Materie by the artist Malwine Stauss.

With Materie unter Materie (matter among matter), Jarmuschek + Partner presents the latest works by Malwine Stauss. The beings the artist creates in her watercolours and as glazed ceramics are angels, people, snails, shells, plants or fantasy figures. Some of them seem to come from a mysterious shared world full of water and beaches. Through their abstraction, fragility and delicacy, each of the figures and visual worlds captivates the viewer and, with its friendliness and approachability, encourages them to empathise with the figures and engage with the surroundings.

With a keen sense of experimentation and freedom in her use of materials, Malwine Stauss creates utopian visions that are both accessible and substantial; they do not exclude or marginalise, nor are they religious or dogmatic, but are simply human in the best sense of the word.

Opening: Friday, 28. August 2026, 7 – 9 pm

Exhibition dates: Saturday, 29. August until Friday, 2. October 2026
