CSR.ART presents FLOWER POWER, an exhibition of large-format floral paintings by the Berlin-based artist Jonas Hödicke (*1984). The exhibition runs at BIKINI BERLIN until 15 September 2026 and explores one of the oldest motifs in art, featuring intensely vibrant, thinly applied colours and a distinct sense of movement. On 3 September from 6 pm, CSR.ART invites you to a special evening with the artist. FLOWER POWER is presented in collaboration with Galerie Mond and is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 7 pm.
Flowers are patient. They allow themselves to be picked, arranged, placed in vases and have been painted for centuries. They convey our grand emotions as well as our small gestures: friendship, love, farewell, appreciation, desire, transience. We have placed a great burden upon them.
In Jonas Hödicke’s work, they regain their freedom.
His flowers push their way into the picture and beyond the canvas; they lean, blur, glow intensely, and become larger than life. Blossoms become colour; colour becomes vibration and movement.
