Since 2007, the project space zwanzigquadratmeter, or zqm, offeres residencies for emerging artists in Berlin, using the space as a creative experiment for exhibitions and in-situ projects. Founded by Swiss artist/curator Eric Emery, zqm has already shown more than 70 exhibitions, among others in collaboration with UdK – University of the Arts Berlin, Germany – and ECAL – University of Art and Design Lausanne, Switzerland. Eric Emery’s curatorial practice includes both young creative artists and established artists, such as the Norwegian artist Knut Henrik Henriksen or the Swiss artists Guillaume Pilet, Athene Galiciadis, Vanessa Safavi or Claudia Comte.
