Johanna Breede PHOTOKUNST

The gallery Johanna Breede PHOTOKUNST was founded by Johanna Breede in 2009. The gallery, whose specialty is the art of photography, presents in changing exhibitions both classical and contemporary photography. Artists such as Hannes Kilian (1909-1999), Liselotte Strelow (1908-1981), Herbert Tobias (1924-1982), Louis Stettner (*1922), Beat Presser (*1952), Barbara Celestina (*1964 Vienna) and Sheila Rock characterize the gallery’s portfolio. In addition to the presentation of established artists, a focus of the gallery is the support and establishment of younger photographers. Five to six exhibitions a year contribute to an encounter with the medium of photography and advance their significant as art. Publications, responsible consulting and the care of private collections and estates, as well as cooperations with museums and art associations supplement the gallery’s program.
The gallery is located on Fasanenstraße Berlin-Charlottenburg.
