The Haus der Kulturen der Welt – or HDK for short – is a multimedia home of exchange with exhibitions, discussions, lectures, theme weeks and many other cultural events.
The building was baptized by the popular expression “pregnant oyster” and is known for its extraordinary architecture. In the summer of 2015 it was extensively renovated. The cladding of the facade created a very unique aesthetic.
The cultural institution is located on John-Foster-Dulles-Allee in Berlin-Tiergarten.
Events of the HDK can be found in the section NEWS.
