Galerie Max Hetzler has galleries in four locations in Berlin – three in Charlottenburg and one in Tiergarten. The gallery was founded in Stuttgart in 1974 as an international art gallery. In the mid-90s, the gallery moved to Berlin. In late 2013, it opened two locations in Berlin-Charlottenburg – at Bleibtreustraße 45 and another at Goethestraße 2/3. In May 2020, it added another location at Bleibtreustraße 15/16. In November 2021, Max Hetzler took over Blain|Southern’s former premises in the Mercatorhöfe on Potsdamer Straße in Tiergarten.
Hetzler exhibits high-priced, museum-quality contemporary art from Jeff Koons to Gerhard Merz. The gallery is run by Max Hetzler and his wife, the Frenchwoman Samia Saouma.
