until 15.04. | #1097ARTatBerlin | Galerie Guido W. Baudach shows from 11th March 2017 the group exhibition “Metamorphosis ” with works from the artists Habima Fuchs, Thomas Helbig, Renaud Jerez, Kris Lemsalu and Mary-Audrey Ramirez.
Metamorphosis is a group exhibition curated by Zdenek Felix with works by five artists from Germany, Estonia, France, Luxembourg and the Czech Republic. The title Metamorphosis goes back to the renowned mythological poem by the Roman author Ovid, which tells stories of transformations of gods, heroes, humans, plants, and animals. In the exhibition at Galerie Guido W. Baudach the contributing artists explore the theme of tansition – of forms, materials, bodies and substances – with different approaches. The focus is on ambivalent animal-like figures, enigmatic hybrid creatures and technical figurines made of different materials. They are artefacts that relate, not without irony, to the present multi-funcional world of images.
Vernissage: Friday, 10th March 2017, from 06:00 p.m.
Exhibitionperiod: Saturday, 11th March – Saturday, 15th April 2017
