until 18.11. | #1701ARTatBerlin | Philipp Haverkampf Galerie presents from 14th October 2017 the exhibition “NEUE KAMELLEN AUS DER KUPFERKANNE” by the artist Maximilian Kirmse.

Painters have always been image-seekers, who constantly look for moments that they can capture and transform into
their timeless medium. This is how Kirmse sees the world in pictures and constantly looks for those who challenge
him.

Be it on the way through his Berlin neighbourhood, in talks in a cafe or at the thought of the privilege of fresh pure
drinking water. The Späti on Bülowstraße, the parked motorcyclist, the nearby streetwalkers, people crossing the
street or simply quenching their thirst.

Thus motifs accumulate, in whose narratives Kirmse finds a promise. A promise of a story that goes beyond the
moment.

Philipp Haverkampf is pleased to present an exhibition in the gallery of Maximilian Kimse (*1986, Berlin, where he
also lives and works.), after successfully graduating in summer as a student of the master class at the Akademie der
Künste Leipzig, under Professor Astrid Klein, giving an impression into his current work.
